It may be a man like Mr. Darcy; put together, suave, with quick wit and dashing looks- a man that will admire his love for who she truly is despite his reservations, an adorably soft spoken man with the strength to stay quiet until he has something of value to say- who attract many women in this world. And I myself find no fault in that, for a man like this Mr. Darcy is certainly a good man. But I, I will marry a man like Mr Knightly; one who will be my closest friend and not only know me more than any other, but understand me as well, one who will admire and love me for who I am, but correct me when I am wrong. A man who will stand beside me at my best and love me all the same when I’m at my worse, though he won’t let me stay there- he will build me and guide me and lead me to righteousness. Where the two of us will mold each others imperfections. I will wait for a man who has “gentleman” written so clearly across his character that it would be undeniable to all who knew him.
A man from Austen .... I am whistful once more
